What do you sell at the market?
Pickles, relishes, and jams.
When and how did your business get started?
We made gift baskets at Christmastime for family and friends with Lyman’s bread and butter pickles, along with other goodies. Peg’s daughter, Rhonda, told Lyman these were the best bread and butter pickles she had ever had and that he should try to sell them. That was around 2006, and the rest is history. Our core recipes are from Lyman’s family and their traditions of putting food by.
What’s your favorite product you offer and why?
Oh, that’s a hard one. Probably the Bread and Butter Pickles. And why? They are fantastic.
What’s something people might not know about your business or products?
Lyman’s Specialties is a small-batch pickle business — and when we say small, we mean it. There are only four to five people who make these tasty treats, including Lyman and Peg. So, many different hats are worn.
What do you love most about being part of our Farmers Market?
Besides being under cover, we are enjoying getting to know every one.
