Juliet Stewart brings the comforting flavors of Caribbean cuisine to the market each week, serving up beloved dishes like curry goat with roti, veggie chow mein, beef patties, and more. What started in Brooklyn in 2018 has grown into a full expression of her passion: sharing soul food that feels like “home away from home.”

What do you sell at the market?
Get ready to enjoy fresh, flavorful, and delicious home-cooked Caribbean meals such as Spinach Rice, Cook-Up Rice, Peas and Rice, Goat Curry, Roti and Chicken Curry, Veggie Chow Mein, BBQ Chicken & Wings, Beef Patties, Cassava Balls, Egg Balls, Pholourie, Dal Puri, Salt Fish Cakes, and Mac & Cheese.
When and how did your business get started?
Julie’s Delight was born while living in Brooklyn in 2018. It came as a way to fulfill my dream of having my own food business and a desire to fill the need for authentic Caribbean soul food, something that could help people feel at home, even when they’re far from it. Our tagline therefore became “Home Away from Home”.
What’s your favorite product you offer and why?
The favorite product Julie’s Delight offers is curry chicken or curry goat with roti. This is our signature dish because it’s made with authentic spices and herbs from the Caribbean.
What’s something people might not know about your business or products?
Julie’s Delight is where every bite tells a story of heritage, heart, and home. Our vision is to bring the taste of home to every plate — creating a memorable food experience for locals and visitors alike.
What do you love most about being part of our Farmers Market?
We appreciate the friendliness of the customers as well as the staff, and we feel welcomed for sharing a different culture.
